What is Polarity Therapy?
Polarity therapy is a holistic healing practice that balances the body’s natural energy flows, allowing it to heal itself. By working with the body’s electromagnetic energy fields, it restores harmony to physical, mental, and spiritual systems. Developed by Dr. Randolph Stone, a pioneer in natural medicine, this therapy integrates principles from Indian Ayurveda and Yoga practices to create a unique, individualized approach to healing based on body-energy work and approach.
History and How it Works
Polarity therapy was founded by Dr. Randolph Stone (1890-1981), who spent his life studying energy healing systems. Inspired by ancient healing practices, he discovered that each cell in the body has a positive and negative pole, and health can be restored by neutralizing these energy flows. Polarity therapy addresses root causes rather than symptoms, making it effective for conditions that traditional medicine might not fully resolve. It reduces stress, improves sleep, eases muscle and joint pain, and helps with emotional challenges like anxiety and depression. This therapy can be combined with other modalities such as massage, reflexology, and acupuncture for enhanced and lasting results.
What to Expect During a Session
During a polarity therapy session, you’ll fill out a health history form, discuss your goals, and undergo an assessment to identify energy blockages. The session typically lasts about an hour, during which the practitioner applies light, medium, or deep pressure depending on your needs. You remain fully clothed, and the process is generally soothing and deeply relaxing. Many clients feel clearer, more aligned, and mentally refreshed afterwards. It’s important to remember that healing is a process, and consistent sessions are recommended for lasting benefits.
